2006 model - sat for about 10 days - just replaced 12v battery - car starts, goes forward and reverse.

However, when I put the car in drive I get the following on the display -

Red Triangle warning and on the display it reads "Please press P to engage Park. The Battery will not be charged if the Transaxle is in N."

Has anyone seen this or know what this is about. I didn't see anything in the ownersmanual.

    Thanks

Yes! I get the same msg if I have the AC running while taking the car through the car wash. It means your traction battery is low. Drive the car around for a while and it will recharge and the error should go away.

HV - that's the hybrid battery? If so, that was replaced 2 years ago - so basically new.

    I'll check the 12v connections.
