I'm sure that this is yet again another stupid question, but in the winter I used the auto/ac, and had the windshield defroster set to a high fan setting to use when I had frost. Now that it is summer (theoretically), I've not used the auto/ac to save on FE, but when I turn on the defrost for a bit of fogged up windshield, it automatically goes to the high fan speed set in the winter. Is there any easy way to reset this to a lower speed, without going to the climate window? It's no big deal, but with all this computer power, it seems silly to have to reset it every time. And FYI, I've kept the auto/ac off to maximize my FE. Very Type A here.

    Thanks.

Welcome. I set the fan speed manually at the lower settings (a/c on) or set the temp at 79 in the afternoon (OAT ~90) or mid 70's in the AM (around OAT). No noticeable difference in FE. The battery is cooled by cabin air through the duct in the rear seat. Too hot & too cold are inefficient. Generally if you are comfy so is the battery. Inflating the tires & blocking the grill have more effect.
