Several news organizations are reporting that Robin Williams has died!
He was apparently suffering from depression. Sad, Nanu, Nanu Mork, RIP!

    It's called "bipolar disorder."

The most creative people that ever existed and are alive, today, have it.

How sad. He was always so upbeat and entertaining in public. Thanks for the laughs Robin. RIP This speech by him in Good Will Hunting was excellent

He's probably going to be remembered primarily for his comedy.

But IMO he was very talented actor.

Recently watched a film called "Worlds Greatest Dad". Robin Williams starred in it.

Word of warning, it's a film written and directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, so I'd say it is an acquired taste.

But I really thought Robin Williams did a great job in it.

He's been in several movies that I thought he did a great job acting in.

Always seemed to involve himself with interesting projects.

I'm truly saddened to hear about this.

    What Dreams May Come...

    Rest In Peace Robin

Yes , a sad deal A good comic who could be funny without being foul mouthed.
Also he could act serious roles and make it work. Good Morning Vietnam comes to mind.

I read somewhere he was battling disease, maybe, he didn't want to go through what my wife, cousin and mother-in-law went through, before they passed.

I went backed and watch the first episode of Mork and Mindy. The concept was beyond cheesy. But geez, he made the show so funny. It was hard not to be addicted to his spontaneous ability to turn any standard word, phrase, or concept into a something funny. How he was able to turn dropping an egg onto a counter into a side splitting scene was impressive.

I think he did excellent in One Hour Photo, a straight and somewhat odious role. Very sad.

I had the privilege to wander around in his house / ranch while it was still under construction up in the mountains above Yountville, CA. Then later, worked on his phone lines leading up to the ranch - often. (I was a Maint. Splicer for then Pac Bell - SBC. His house and ranch were at the very end of a very rural road in the western mountains above the Napa Valley). He was an avid bike rider back in the day-(80's early 90's). I even met his then "Nanny" who I believe he later left his wife for. I never did meet Robin though. Some of the other Tech's did get to meet him. It was a joy to go to his ranch, as they were always friendly, unlike so many other celebs living in the rural Napa valley with phone problems.... I just wish I could have checked out the old mine on his ranch, but never got the courage to ask... I still enjoy Mork & Mindy, but think his new show, was not nearly as good. Poor guy, he had it all, yet was tormented. Sad...

    So sad... what a waste!
While I liked many of his films, my favorite is "Cadillac Man" (1990)
a very underrated film where he played a fast, talking 3-timing, car salesman who has to sell 12 cars in two days or loses his job! The film starts off with Robin trying to sell a new car to a widow on the way to burying her husband and just gets more outrageous after that.

    A sad day indeed...
