Rules and Fees for using a charger at UCLA

Hmmm...do hotels/motels have gas stations on site? Way more customers drive gas cars and pay the same for the room. Even providing an outdoor 120v/15A receptacle is not going to work for the hotel as it runs up the hotel's bill. They could offer "Plug in rooms" on the ground level with receptacles outside and an extra charge on the room bill.

 

I think gas stations are eventually going to put in a level 3 chargers and fill er up for an amount likely to be more that what gasoline would cost. Public chargers are going to go away, except for businesses that want to attract customers or employees with Level 2 or 1 chargers, but this will be unreliable.

Really, why should charging be free? Especially during the day when electric use is high and endangers the grid.
