Sand/Silver/Pearl/Gray/Blue, #6 (HK) or lower , 08 April 2006, Sunnyvale, CA

Hi,
My order date is April 8th for Sand (Beige) or silver #5 Or lower.
They were offering only #3, 5 , 7 or 8 I think.
SO I opted for 3 or 5.
No Word yet.
I was told last week that I am still 2 months away.
I am also open to Gray
Any Other experience in bay area please.

Over two months and now they're saying four, with all the flexibility you display?

I advise to get on the phone and use lists of Toyota dealers available online. You can probably get a car within 3 days---IF you'll travel a little (and maybe not, in the Bay Area).
TONS of dealers, especially if you start, say, in a quadrangle drawn from Eureka to Modesto to Monterey to SF.

BTW, Prius has no "sand" color; "Driftwood Pearl" is the closest beige.

First, someone else has posted that Sunnyvale has a long wait. There are many other dealerships out there. Just email around! I got mine from Hanlees Hilltop in Richmond after a month on the waiting list. Walnut Creek and Dublin Toyotas seemed to have more availability as well. You could also try SF Toyota.

Second, I'm not sure that #5 is a standard model in California. Might be special order. So a #3 would be much easier to come by.

I got a call from this dealer that it will be here by next week-end (1 or 2 days here and there)

(This is Silver with Package 6 (HK)
Lets see.

He has given me some VIN number. (But has only last six digits or so.)
I dont know how to convert to real VIN number.
Will wait till this guy calls.

Question: What tires they come with ?
Is backuo camera output a color or Black and white ?

Dealer called me this morning.
The car is here.
Will crosscheck everything is right (read it as my wife is happy with it )
Will pickup in the evening.

Picked up yesterday night.
Runs Cool.
The guy was good and explained the working the details of how it works.
Believe me: Overall time I walked in to I drove out was over 2 and half hour.
More details later.

Good thing is I got my plates in 3 days.
The same salesperson called me to give that good news.
My plates along with registration and month / year stickers were there.

So I picked them up on 30th. (bought car on 27th)!

I got the fast trak transponder and now sent the stuff for HOV stickers -
