Under the drivers seat I noticed what seems to be some kind of vent, it face out toward the rear floor. The vent, (or whatever it is), is on the floor and the carpet is cutout for it. Except the carpet is covering it, so if it is a vent, it's not providing much ventilation. What is this? Should I rearrange that flap of the carpet so as to put it underneath this plastic vent piece?

Heat for the rear seat. The carpeting should not cover the vent.

Thanks. Thing is, the carpet was already covering the vent, as I got it the car new. But I think I can push it under the vent.

it only turns on when the auto a/c is set to floor only. (fyi)

so.. first stages of heating.. or if you manually choose floor only.
