We are extremely happy with our 05 Prius, and we'd love to buy another hybrid. We've seen some people talk about Sienna hybrids coming out in 2007 (or late 2006), but we're not sure the likelihood of this happening. Does anyone have more definitive info on the Sienna hybrid? We're hoping it'll be based on the Estima Hybrid instead of the Alphard Hybrid...

    Thanks!!!

I have heard that it maybe coming, but do not know specifics. With the announcement of the hybrid Camry coming I would bet it wouldn't be far behind. The Camry and Sienna share the same basic platform so it would be easy to convert it.

especially since Toyota has the HSD on the 3MZ-FE 3.3 litre V6 and the 2AZ-FE 2.4 litre I4 (and of course our 1NZ-FE 1.5 on the Prius)

I'm second on the waiting list for one at Boulder Toyota. The Sienna Hybrid is still only rumored, but I'll be one of the first to get one when they come out.

I think Toyota's timetable for hybridizing the entire lineup is 2010.

It is speculation but I think it will happen too. The Lexus rX400h, Camry, and Sienna have the same chassis. I have an '05 Sienna now and would have loved a hybrid model of it. It is great on gas for a vehicle of its size but with todays gas prices, it is hard to believe after leaving the gas pump.

I think you are wrong. The Tundra is going to be diesel, no hybrid. The HSD design is not going to be on trucks or real SUVs.
