Lovin' my Prius, perfect shape.... but gee willikers the speedo bubbles! It's the only thing bugging me about this wonderful car.

What can I do to eliminate this pesky problem.

I have seen other Prii on eBay with the same thing.

I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, but have you tried cleaning it? Or are the bubbles beneath the outer surface?

Is that from spraying dash cleaner or Armor All on the dash?

Nope.... Not on outside. Bubbles are behind the plexiglas. Can this piece be taken out of speedo cluster and fixed/replaced?

Use car body wax. Yes it works and I have been doing it for years! I used Turtle Wax on the plastic speedo cover, and it was gone for about 6 months. I do the same thing with the headlights and it works wonders. Leave the wax on for like 1 minute or two, then wipe off. It works every single time for me. Let me know how it goes. Do not, and I repeat do not use Armor All. The plastic Toyota used is not very friendly to Armor All, and in fact resists it and makes the bubbles even worse. The only other thing that worked, but was very short term was Rain X spray foam. The water repelling agent in there also clears the bubbles but only for about a week. The car wax works perfectly.

I have discovered that changing to smaller sized speedos usually helps decrease the bubbles.

SUCCESS!! Milibanio, this is a permanant fix not a temporary one:

Get some Blue Magic metal polish and two microfiber cloths. Rub away what I assume is the anti-glare coating that is bubbling and you get visual perfection. I have used Blue Magic for years to keep my plastic headlights clear and this stuff worked perfectly on the Prius speedo.
