If thats the 4th generation I think I'm heading the otherway and be getting the FRS trd version 1.0 for my weekend car and will keep the prius as a daily driver.

A camera in every hand, it was only a matter of time!

I like the side profile, floating rear roofline and rear even more than G3. I am in!

LEDs look really nice, and the spoiler is NOT black!

WOW! GREAT POST! Looks like they're doing a commercial. I don't know if I like it =( =( Looks too sharp... cars that are too sharply angled don't age well.

I like sharp edges/angles, I've been tired of bubbles/curves on cars for a l-o-n-g time now (especially the overuse of curves that Nissan/Infiniti has gone with). Guess that's why I've liked and still like the look of Volvo's; They've rounded somewhat but still retained some of the square/boxy look. To each their own of course.

They can be nice. But too much of a good thing is bad. Of course these are far away pictures so we don't really know how it'll look but for now I think the Gen 3 prius looks more elegant.

The front overhang seems more friendlier to driveway duties and the indicators on the mirrors are a nice touch. I'm definitely getting a set of the next gen wheels for my 3rd gen =D (don't know what they'll look like but i'm sure they'll be nice)

    My thoughts so far:
    • I see lots of LEDs, which is nice.
    • Really like the look of those new wheels.
    • The rear passenger windows are split like a 70/30. I wonder why?
    • Has a cut in on the rear side like the Mirai. Toyota's engineers must've figured something out aerodynamically.
    More thoughts to come.

Mods, if you see any additional photos posted, please update the OP with them.

If this is it, I'm kinda underwhelmed by the styling, seems a sell-out. Meh, maybe it'll grow on me.

Well, at least it doesn't have the humongous grill that Toyota/Lexus seems to want all of their cars to have.

I like the front end better than most other new Toyota's. The rear 3/4 looks Mirai-ish to me and I'm concerned about the steep rake of the rear hatch as it looks like that will limit boxy type loads. We'll know soon enough with better pics/info.

Who knows, maybe they were able to make the rear deck lower with the (rumored) swap to Lithium-ion batteries. But I wondered the same thing.

Usually it has to do with the shape of the window vs. the door and there not being enough room to lower the entire window far enough. Look at the pic in post #13 for a good visual idea.

    +1 (y)
