Super Bowl Ads- terrible?

Does anybody else here think this years Super Bowl ads were really bad? I was very dissapointed, a few were midly amusing but I didn't think any of them were up to Super Bowl caliber ads. Even the bud ads and the talking baby ads were dissapointing to me. Interested to hear what you all think.

I agree, although I did recognize a couple of the Chimps that parked right on top of that guy, I think they're from Atlanta!

I liked the Volkswagen ad, The Darth Vader ad....

Most of the rest? Seemed disappointingly derivative. Not much creativity. Even the "decent" ads seemed like Ads that were clever 2-5-10 years ago...Chimps? Seen it before....1984 allusions? Seen it before....Clever Animals? Seen it before...Talking Babies?...

Yep...not the finest hour for advertising.

Compared to the halftime show, I thought the ads were brilliant.

didn't enjoy any of them. pretty good game tho.

I particularly disliked the Doritos ad where the guy liked the other guy's finger after he finished his bag of Doritos.

Little kid as Darth Vader. Yup, that was the one shining star of the commercials.

My hopes were raised that the chimps might be from a Trunk Monkey Ad. Alas, just a job web site ad.

Still have not figured out what I get when I buy a Go Daddy, but figure it can only get me in trouble.

darth vader junior was good, as was the pug. i liked the pepsi max where the wife hits the other woman on the bench. but overall, none were up to par.

i really think they are living off past rep and are not putting as much money into them as they used to.

I did really enjoy the mini Darth commercial, but talk about targeting your audience of a bunch of beer drinking, testosterone pumped males, the teleflora commercial, IMHO, hit its target.

very bad. now, they're playing it on the radio. amazing how advertising companies have replaced creative thinking with vulgar shock value. of course, my 90 year old mother in law was watching with us and asks, "what's a rack?"

While I busted out laughing at the thought of grandma's question, truth is, I wonder why parents should have to answer that question to a 6, 7, 8, or 9 yo child. Isn't the super bowl suppose to be rated "G"?
