I took my Gen III for my first "road trip" today. Actually, it's work related, but drove 300 miles through lots of mountains / hills and was VERY surprised by how easy the Gen III handled the hills and mountains. I used the Power Mode on a few occasions, but mostly kept it in "normal" mode for most of the trip. Before I headed out, I thought I would stay in the slow lane and let others pass, but I was happily cruising along in the fast lane keeping up w/ everybody! By the way, I averaged 42.3 mpg. Not bad considering the terrain!

    Fine, RUB IT IN!!! :D

Those of us with Gen II's here on the front range have to listen to our little 1500 screaming its little heart out in the montains.

Glad you are having such great service from your new Prius!

Being a hybrid, I thought passing another car would be impossible. Zoomed by with the greatest of ease, I did. Power was there when I called for it. After my first oil change, I'll put my foot to the floor to see just how much power I have to work with.
