I wonder why Prius does not have a temperature guage? We do not have to care about engine temperature?

(I'm sorry if this question was asked before)

Most everything in the Prius is computer controlled. Being able to see the ICE temperature, inverter temperature, RPMs, etc. is nice, but not essential. Toyota made a decision to not confuse people with unneeded information. Many of us, however, would like the option without adding ScanGauge or something like it.

Toyota doesn't believe we should know what's happening under the hood. They prefer the first inkling of trouble to be a catastrophic pump failure.

Some gauges on newer cars aren't really gauges. For example All Miata's built in the last ten years or so oil pressure gauges remain constant no matter what, because they aren't gauges, they are idiot lights that look like gauges.
Plug an OBDII scanner into any newer car and you will be amazed how much the oil pressure and coolant temperature vary while the stock gauges stay rock solid. I assume people complain when they see the oil pressure nose dive when the engine is at idle.
