    I predicted something like this way back around the time I actually saw (and rode in) a prototype. Whether for business reasons (as in this case) or more general financial problems, or just to make a buck, some (probably few) owners would sell, and there would be folks who wanted one, didn't want to wait, and could pay enough to make it worth while for someone who'd had the foresight to order early.
