just got it yesterday ~2 hours after my pastor preached in his message to be stewards of Earth for future generations and suggested buying a Prius (his wife has one, while he drives a Nissan Pathfinder LOL)




current mods: faux-CF TRD plate, SkinTight CF-look weave rear cargo carpet from my wrecked Matrix (fits almost perfectly, except a it's little short to the sides next to the tail light access panels)
planned mods: custom-smoked tail lights and reflectors tint, white LED license lights, short OEM-looking antenna, "black diamond" grille, DIY pin-striping, relocating front license plate, stiffening plate

also on cards is painting the brake calipers orange, and the top part of the tails will be tinted to look like the older design

100 miles since driving it off the lot, and mileage is currently 44mpg... but the gas level is already down 2 bars, is that correct, or should I break it in over the next 900mi?

added smoked vinyl overlays to give it the 04 look (for now... going to cover the entire thing eventually) and fake CF sticker on lower part of the hatch (inspired by the LR3):

someone put a band-aid on my passenger fender outside a church, and first I thought it was some massive bird poop from afar, and getting a closer look I wasn't amused at all... I wondered if someone had scratched my car or some kind of sick joke. Later I found it was actually easily removed, so I can now look back on it and laugh a little

TRD plate on eBay... smoked vinyl film from BlueBatmobile2005 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting - it leads to a photobucket album but he provides his contact details there; he was supposed to load my pics but hasn't...



what you're looking at: custom designed/cut eyelids, will change bottom of headlights to use gray vinyl instead in the shape seen on the left side (pattern currently not obvious in the dark when the light is on); my next mod is planned for tomorrow: painting the brake calipers orange

I wouldn't know, the auction seems to have ended, and who can tell one offering from another... and the paint has been fading on mine due to road debris. you can try this, comes with bonus frame, but from the looks of things it doesn't seem to be the exact same one as I have: # 180232614862

Don't worry about the fuel gauge nor your mileage until you've burned through that first tank, and filled it up a couple of times. These boards are filled with people worried about the mileage on the first tank and what the gauge reads. It'll all even out over time, and your tank bladder will stretch.

That is a FANTASTIC idea to use that little glass for a suction mount. That's where I'll put my GPS mount for sure.

One question: What's the purpose of the license tilt? reflected RADAR or something?
