Tired of Clicking on Page 1, 2, 3, etc.? If you're using Firefox, install the add-on AutoPager and you can just continuously scroll to your heart's content on PriusChat, Google and other websites:rockon:.

Tangentially related: Install CoolIris for Firefox if you're a fan of searching/browsing images. It works really well with flickr and google images, news sites and some others. Very neat!

I like the Auto Pager when it works. But sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. It's not working for me now.

I've been using CustomizeGoogle which streams the Google pages. I find that very handy because I do find scrolling easier and faster than flipping pages.

I'll give AutoPager a try. Thanks!

I think you have to do some stuff to customize it and get it to work...you click the little gray arrow thing next to the URL entry window. But damned if I can figure out what I'm supposed to enter in the window that opens.

I installed it on three of my computers a couple of months ago. And without having to do any customizing it works fine sometimes and other times not. It's automatic, but I can't figure out its rhyme or reason. Sometimes it works on PriusChat, sometimes not. Sometimes it works on New York Times, sometimes not.

Alright. So I have AutoPager installed but it's not performing as I would have expected.

When there are multiple pages of results, Page 1 does not autoscroll. When I go to Page 2, it autoscrolls. Why doesn't it on Page 1? What are the codes or settings or whatever that I need to use to make Page 1 scroll?

although autopager is a good concept, for me it always seemed to jump too far when scrolling, causing me to have to scroll back up and find the page break. it's faster to just click on the next page and load it (on a decent internet connection) so i uninstalled it.

i'll probably reinstall if there's a newer version that corrects this scrolling issue (happens when the next page is loaded and displayed while using the sidebar to scroll, if you're looking at t he bottom 2/3 or page 3, it'll load and instantly display the bottom 2/3 of page 4, rather than the top. does this on my desktop and my laptop.

I want the old Priuschat back..:( I really don't like the new look and how everything is laid out. Is it just me? The news page especially.

Another suggestion is to change the 'Number of Posts to Show Per Page' option to the maximum (40) in the edit options screen of the User control Panel. This way you get more posts per page.

I change to URL of the first page to be displayed to set the number of threads per page to 250 (just add a zero after the 25 that is my default) then redisplay.
