    An opinion from WUWT.

“What the skeptics have done is made a huge effort to cast doubt on the science of climate change, much like tobacco companies’ efforts to cast doubt on the science connecting tobacco and lung cancer.”
Yeah, because the tobacco companies fought for more transparent science, for facts that are available to everyone and can be verified, and for scientists to follow both the scientific method and federal laws … oh wait no they didn’t. The actions of Big Climate mirror the actions of Big Tobacco."

    Thanks!
Sometimes one wonders if Frontline has an accurate and timely report. So I was wondering if you might ignore it. Thankfully, you've come through and confirmed Frontline will have a credible story and quite believable.

    Rats!
    Have to work tonight.....
    Too bad. :(
I'm sure it would have been a veeeeerry fair and impartial work.

Actually....I probably would have given it a look since (a) I cannot stomach network, or most cable TV....and (b) I always like to challenge my beliefs with the (more sane) arguments from folks who might look at an issue a little differently than I do. Even though "CoD" is probably just a liiiiiiiiiiittle bit tilted...there are nuggets to be gleaned from watching... :)

Give us a review once you watch...;)

That's what TiVo and PVRs/DVRs are for. Too much great stuff on TV all the time when I'm not in front of the TV, can't be front of it or don't feel like being in front of it.

(Been a TiVo user since 2001. Previously had time-shifted using VCRs since the 80s, which is almost barbaric in comparison to using a TiVo.)

    Kabuki question:
As Daniel Patrick Moynihan once said:
Source: Daniel Patrick Moynihan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I didn't learn anything new as most of the Frontline story covered familiar ground about the climate skeptics. But seeing them speaking their nonsense and those who choose to follow, well it won't be the first nor the last time we'll see such behavior.

OK thanks I watched the show from CWERDNA's link....the link works!
I have tried to argue here on Prius Chat the many huge changes in the world in the past 5-7 years that have weakened, not weakened the argument that global warming is man-made, I am a believer, but have weakened the argument that immediate regulatory mandated corrective actions are needed. Never once did I think to add to my list of reasons, like Frontline did, that the main cause for the change in thinking had anything to do with the political prowess of the skeptic movement. Rather for example, I am thinking major world events such as Japan Tsunami have struck down the decades old thinking that rapid shift to nuke power is the main answer to +CO2.

I think you are onto something here.
The Nuke industry was a major backer of CO2 fear mongering.
Now that Nukes are seen as worse than the supposed CO2 problem, their lobbying money is likely irrelevant to politicians.
Big game changer if Exalon is out of the picture.
