Does any one know about a notice of class action settlement against Toyota Canada?
I received email and postcard notice from Crawford Class Action Services. It mentions three options:
    (A) Cash payment of $62.50
    (B) Free installation of a brake override system (BOS)
    (C) A customer support program.

Anyone wish to claim the cash payment is required to register with the Crawford company.

It sounds like free cash settlement money for certain Toyota vehicle owners. Is there a catch? What action should I take?

I got a letter about that, a few weeks back. Have to admit I glazed over reading it, wasn't that thorough. Somewhere it in there I believe it says hybrid owners can't get the cash, just are entitled to the kit install, if they want. It seems to be covering most every vehicle Toyota makes.

Yes, you are right. Hybrid vehicles are not included in this cash settlement.
Their postcard notice does not contains the fine print. The details are listed in their website.
    Thanks.

Correct. Slimy lawyers working. Got two, shredded both. $62.50!! Like that would pay for anything! Well, maybe a few tanks of gas.

I was gonna say, the hybrids already have a built-in brake override system.
