Toyota Extended Care Platinum Plan and California

    Hello,

    I read the many threads about Toyota Extended Care Platinum Plan. I did not see anywhere if the Toyota Extended Care Platinum Plan is specific to some states.

    My dealer said that California has its own extended care platinum plan and that is why he is charging me more than the priuschat offer.

    He is charging me $1425 for 8yrs/75k plan.

    The offer on priuschat discount is $1055 for 7yrs/100k plan.

    The dealer said that the plan he gave me is for California and the warranty shows california and the plan from priuschat is only for east coast and will not say California on it. So, toyota service station in califronia will reject the warranty if it doesnt specifically say California.

    Is my dealer correct? It doesnt make sense to me. I would imagine a an extended warranty plan should work in any state in North America.

    Can anyone please confirm?

    I purchased the discounted plan here, and I have used it in California.

    I got the six year 100K plan.

    I do not think the dealer is correct.

    Hi, I got my 2010 Prius III 2 weeks ago. I paid $998 for 4yrs/125K Toyota Extended Care Platinum Plan. I live in Long Island, NY and purchased my car at a local dealer.
