Hadn't looked at any pix of this yet, but now I went and found
some. Weird-lookin' beast. Kind of a cross between a cherokee
    and an H3.

FJ is the code name for Land Cruiser.

And from what I understand, they are trying to make a retro FJ40 (Land Cruiser of the 50s).

Saw one at the dealer today. They had a black Package "C" in the showroom. I didn't see the speakers in the roof that are supposed to have come with the FJammer sound package. Anybody have any idea?

They're invisible. The two transducers are mounted above the headliner and use the headliner as a diaphragm. I haven't heard one yet, my Voodoo Blue 6M/T is due in late this week or early next. All FJ's come standard with the system.

I'll be exporting mine to Canada after a little play time, saving someone thousands and making a little in the process. Toyota charges $3,850 more for equivalent FJ's in Canada.

I've driven one and think they're so ugly they're cute, like a Bulldog. Very capable, versatile truck. It's built on a modified Prado/GX/4Runner frame. It's the only Toyota/Lexus available with an M/T, center locking Torsen and RR locker. It ran the Rubicon stock. Should more than meet my mild 4WD needs.

I saw one today as well, blue one although not sure of the package. Pretty cool looking trucks.

I saw one parked on Myrtle in downtown Monrovia earlier today. Silver one, if I remember correctly.

Saw a black one at the dealership. I really like everything about it except for those taillights... they protrude outwards way too much.

Last week they put a blue one out at the local dealer in Silver City (town of 10,000). Not my cup of tea either Jayman.

Saw one at the dealer this evening. They're smaller than I expected. I just expected it to be larger. Didn't look too bad though.

I was excited to see one when I took my Prius in for its first oil change, but very disappointed in the truck after taking a closer look. I hate the extensive use of silver/grey plastic on the dash; it looks like a Wal-Mart Stereo. And the Toyota designers have finally made a vehicle with worse visibility than the Prius; that pillar behind the B pillar (C Pillar?) is about a foot wide, and the spare tire takes up a third of the rear window. I didn't notice if there was a rear view camera or not, as I had to get out of the uncomfortable seats.

I like the Nissan Xterra better, but that's just based on interior styling. The FJ is good looking on the outside.

I've been seeing a lot of the FJ Cruisers around town this last week, nearly 1 a day. One blue and one yellow, and a bunch (4 or 5) of the silver ones. Kinda neat-looking, they look like supersized Tonka toys.
