If the Nascar network, err Speed channel, would have race coverage like they used to. I also miss WRC that they no longer air here.

Was watching but had to take a nap. When I got up: "18:15:24 : Toyota #7 is having "energy recovery issues" Apparently it withdrew. So now the ranking is, 1,2,3, Audi the Toyota running #4.

There were two races on the same track. The Audi/Toyota racers pretty well ran away from the pack. Then all the rest but there was something else.

When in the last race, one of the diesel Audi had a problem with their flywheel based, hybrid electronics, they continued in the race with credible numbers. In contrast, the gasoline Toyota had a problem and eventually dropped out. Now failures come in many different shapes and kinds. If 'the smoke escapes,' there is little option but to pull out.

The more tightly coupled Toyota system means a hybrid failure would lead to an early withdraw. The less tightly coupled Audi system continues on diesel power.

Oh well, hopefully everything will be sorted out by the next race. On to Le Mans.
