Toyota's Yaris Hybrid went on sale in Germany on June 16, according to billboards around Freiburg. In case you want to see pictures, here is a link to the Yaris section of toyota.de, Toyota's German website. Toyota Yaris Galerie. Einfach genial. As with German automakers, they put body styles together, and you have to click through to see that it is available in hybrid, diesel, or benzine (gasoline, as I understand it) versions. By the way, here's something interesting--the price difference between the base Yaris benzine and Yaris hybrid is about 5000 Euros--somewhat over 6000 USD--but for the top of the Hybrid line Yaris Club, the difference between the benzine and hybrid models is only a bit over 3000 Euros. An interesting pricing strategy Does anyone know if this is being sold throughout Europe or only in a few countries? Or beyond Europe?
