Looking to buy a good used low mileage Transaxle. 2001-2003. I would like to match it up as close to the engine replacement I have that only has 7K on it. Tell me what you have and how much you want for it. I am in Las Vegas, NV. Thanks in advance.:D

Xvipers has one on eBay right now. You should also contact LKQ online and their competitors (salvage dismantlers). Curious - are you rebuilding a crashed vehicle or is this a 'system failure' situation?

It is a transaxle failure. XVipers, no thank you, overpriced hard to communicate with and only 30 dat warranty. LKQ is where I got the engine with 7k but they have no trans. Certified back east has a couple with 6 month million mile warranties but want $300 for shipping and all have high miles. I would like to get one with less than 40k at best.

A warranty on a used transaxle is almost pointless. You will still be out the R & R of the unit (twice), plus shipping of a very heavy transaxle. And most parts sellers will only ship out the replacement after you've shipped your faulty replacement transaxle back.

You'll do well to find something with less than 80K miles.

Long time since we heard from Bueller.

    These days, I'd add

    www.carparts.com

to the list of places to be searched for used Prius parts. Seems to be quite a complete compilation for the US.

If I were shopping for used transaxle I'd test the fluid before buying. Way too dirty means no sale. Way to clean may mean that they just changed it, so not informative. Want a Goldilocks fluid analysis.
