Is it true in California you can transfer HOV stickers. Today at the Toyota dealership the salesmen said you can get the stickers for 4k and transfer it a 2008 Prius through the DMV. Completely legal? Or does this salesmen not know what the heak he's talking about??
This is the correct answer. A salesman (salesperson to be PC) will say pretty much anything they think will sell a car. However, you cannot transfer the HOV stickers from a car, even if the car is totaled. The sticker is tied to the VIN number of the car.
