I just checked the air pressure in the tires after a couple of weeks on my 2010 II. Needed some, but found the standard air chuck(s) on my compressor would not fill. Seems the valve stem is smaller and the release pin in recessed further not allowing it to release. Had to push the tire gage very hard to register the pressure. Anyone else having problems or have recommendations?

Nope, the same old pump as with my two previous Prius works as is.

Sorry, I'm not sure why yours would be different.

Checked with my standard digital gauge and added air with standard air compressor fitting - 17" tires.

The wheel's valve stem appears to be a bit slimmer/smaller diameter but I had zero issues working on mine. Perhaps stop at a tire store nearby and have them check it out...

No problems with my gauge. But the dual Schrader / Presta head on my floor pump doesn't work well with the wheel covers. The only angle it fits leaves the hose nearly pinched.

No problems with mine. I use a portable pump powered by the 12V plug in the car, and I noticed only that it was slightly easier to lock/unlock without letting air out of the tire.

I had problems w/ the air compressor nozzle as well - the 60°+ angle versions are hard to seat w/o possibly scratching up the wheel covers.

I was also surprised to see a lack of green caps - I thought that was an indicator of TPMS, or am I mistaken?

I think the green caps indicate Nitrogen inflation if I'm not mistaken.

My past green caps were for Nitrogen, from Costco, on a car without TPMS.

Green caps are for "Nitronized" tires. Obviously most tires are filled with mostly nitrogen.
