    My father just gave me the car and he says the engine light has been on for months but he hasnt worried about it!!! Anyway, ran it by AutoZone and they plugged it in and came up with the following 2 codes problems:

    P1116
    Definition: coolant temperature sensor circuit stack for coolant heat storage system;
    Probable cause: cooling system clogged or failed CHS temperature sensor

    P1121
    Definition: accelerator pedal position sensor range/performance problem;
    Probable cause: open or short circuit condition or poor electrical connection or failed APP sensor

    Do these require dealer attention or is this something I might could fix myself? Any input is appreciated.

    Dealer attention. Now, before the valves burn up or something equally fun happens.

    P1121 is for the coolant control valve, not for the accelerator pedal.

    Two possibilities:

    You have a bad coolant control valve.

    You have a bad engine water pump and almost all of your coolant has leaked out. Check this first, for low coolant level, and pink bird droppings on top of your A/C compressor.
