Unplugged Power Button, Now Getting Check Hybrid System Warning! PLEASE HELP

    Hey Guys

    Installing my nav unit, and i went a step to far following the great write up DylanJones did.

    I unplugged the power button before reading this writeup! Now my car keeps saying "Check Hybrid System"

    Car is in pieces now an i am stuck! Please help! :(

    Hmmm. Did you disconnect you battery ? You might try that after you have reconnected the power button. Do it at your own risk because this is just a guess on my part. You might wait until someone comes up with a more difinitive answer for you.

    Ok.. Panic over.. No, didnt disconnect battery or anything..

    Just turned it on and off a few times and warning is gone and all is running fine!

    Got the Nav unit in, but the ipod controls arent working. Bummed, but that is the least of my worries right now! :)

    The Ottonavi Unit..

    Great functions, radio is great, nav is great, bluetooth is great, just need to get ipod working! :)

    Check hybrid system message is pretty generic and is caused by an unexpected short to ground detected by the ECU.

    It can be caused by probing circuits with a multimeter, etc.

    As you've discovered, you can reset it by power cycling a few times, as long as the fault condition originally detected is gone.

    You have to plug in your Ipod before starting it on the nav unit
