Last fall Congress approved consumer tax credits of up to $7500 for plug-in electric cars. Unfortunately the lawmakers left out the most affordable and available plug-in hybrid solution: Plug-in hybrid conversions.

This year Plug In America and a team of entrepreneurial plug-in vehicle companies has worked with Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), John Kerry (D-MA), Debbie Stabenow (D-MI), and Bill Nelson (D-FL) to get critical plug-in vehicle tax credit language into the upcoming stimulus bill.
