A dealer hustled me, got caught, and is now offering me a free 6/100,000 warranty on my new 2010 Prius III as a peace offering. What is the value of this warranty? Is it worthwhile? Am I being hustled again? thanks.

The 7 yr 100,000 mile "zero" deductable " Platinum" can be bought off the forum for $1055 and it is a TRUE Toyota warranty.

Free is good isn't it? Especially if it is an official Toyota package, I say go for it. But even if it is an off-brand, what do you have to lose?

I got that warranty and paid $1000 for it. Its a zero deductable bumper to bumper (except wear items and hybrid parts that are covered under your basic warranty)
