We've had our 2004 Salsa Red Pearl Prius for about a month now and we are in love! We've been averaging 50 mpg since..a very nice change from the 16 mpg we were getting in our 2001 v8 Mercury Mountaineer previously. :D

After finally being able to drive a Prius via a new Zipcar program here, we fell in love. We decided to take advantage of the slow car market (and low gas prices) to buy our 2004 and sell the Mountaineer. We were able to get a great deal on ebay and are so happy that we did.

Thanks for the great forums and all the information!

Great to hear you are so happy with your car. I've been driving my 2004 since January of 2004 and still happy with it. (Of course, I mostly drive the Xebra since I got it in May of 2007, but the Prius still gets driven for the longer trips and in bad weather or if there's snow or ice on the road.)
