It seems as though there is a problem with trying to view a series of thumbnails in a post.

Up until a few days ago, it worked like this: if someone had attached a few pictures, you would click on the first to enlarge it. It would open, and then there would be a "next" link at the bottom. Clicking on that would open the next picture, etc. But when you got to the end, and clicked the "close" link, the picture window would close, but you would then be "jumped" to the end of that page of the thread (ven if the post you were viewing was at the top of the page). This could get annoying when looking at a lot of posts with attached pictures.

Well, a few days ago, things changed. Now when closing the picture viewing window, it seems you are jumped to the top of that thread page.

Why can't closing the picture viewer just leave you at your current location in the thread?

FYI: this happens on two computers that I have. Once has IE6 and the other IE7. Both are on Win XP with SP2 and all required security updates.

Anybody else see this same behavior??

I usually use Mozilla Firefox and it is working fine with thumbnails - I close the thumbnail and stay at the same post. Just for kicks, I tried it on Internet Explorer and had the same problem you had. A browser issue?

Oh! Forgot that I also have Safari on this computer! Thumbnails are also behaving normally with Safari.

Must be. Internet Explorer returns me to the bottom of the page of the thread.
