Maybe it's my glasses, but, other than some new graphics, I really don't see any improvement.:(

Another "make the forums stretch to fill the screen width" request.

The only screen resolution it fills the screen on is anything less than 1024 pixels.

    Otherwise it's very clean!

One benefit of the turquoise sides flanking the narrower screen is that there's a soft, tranquil, calming effect.

Seems like it's more conducive to civil discourse (though it'll probably have no effect on a couple of guys at FHOPolitics ;)).

What you're describing is built into the latest version of Firefox, a great browser. Just hit <control> <plus> or <control> <minus> to enlarge or shrink the entire webpage (works on text AND graphics).

Nice look, but its like watching a 480I video signal on a 16:9 monitor..... The "WINGS" gotta go!! besides if you have the full screen width, you could fit more lines/posts per screen!

    Otherwise I like it!

Thanks so much for all the effort and time you put into this site Danny! It's very much appreciated.

I must add yet another vote for the "fill the screen" camp.

I think I'm going to be in the minority on this but I have to confess I'm not that crazy on the new look - and it's more than just the width of the page (although I have to admit that's a big factor). It seems like just about every website now is going for a Disney-esque, "cutesy" look and feel with big bright graphics, lots of white space, varying font sizes and such. I know a lot of this comes down to personal preference and browsers/platforms etc but I liked the previous design of PriusChat with the simple blue color scheme and "News" posts down the middle. For me, the front page is a lot less interesting now - it looks like it came out of a marketing department.

So much nicer. Clean and professional. Don't get me wrong, I'm very "green", but I don't like living in a dirty swamp. Did you do the graphics yourself?

Looks like the silhouette of the Prius.

Is it just me? The spy feature isn't working with firefox.

Jeepers! I got busy for a few days and couldn't get on here. I came on this evening and thought I had gone to the wrong place! WOW!

This is a LOT of work, Danny. Thanks for taking the time. :cheer2:

    Hi paprius,

FYI, I haven't had to sign in again (notwithstanding that "Sign In" link on the new home page).

But like others have mentioned, the new home page doesn't have a View New Posts link. So I do have to click on Forums (where I'm shown as signed in) and then View New Posts.

Nope, not just you. Something's wrong with the spy code conflicting with the updated forum software.

I hope to have that fixed soon, since I love to spy. Wait, I wasn't supposed to say that. :ninja:

I imagine the Mods enjoy Spy for quick reaction to trolls ;-)

Just don't hack into my webcam when I'm getting out of the shower. That would be awkward for both of us.

Wouldn't bother me, I have nothing to hide. You could even suggest I have a certain level of pride in that area ....

    Danny,

Before the site upgrade, PriusChat Spy would periodically update its
list of new posting on its own.

Now, after the upgrade, I have to use the <Refresh> button to get
an update... not critical but irritating when "just checking-in."
I like the new format, very nice overall... :cheer2:

New "issue", seems quick reply does some sort of refresh in Firefox that now comes back w/ a blank page. I must resubmit the URL (reload doesn't work) before the page loads again. Almost seems like an instant meta refresh is taking me somewhere I don't want to be.

Yes, makes sense, and I don't have the time/patience to look into it. One thing I noticed, with Ubuntu 8.10 and Firefox, when I get the white page, the status bar at the bottom claims "Stopped"
