Said they had a Option 3 available in seaside pearl. We decided to wait since our choices are pine, dark grey, beige, spectra blue. My wife was afraid someone might call it Carolina Blue :p

WooHoo! My dealer emailed me yesterday (generic email to everyone on the waiting list). A Touring Prius was on the truck (presumably), on the way to the dealership, and was not ordered by anyone on the waiting list. It was not my prefered color (Driftwood Pearl) and would be a Magnetic Gray Metallic, with full blown bells and whistles, including a longer-than-standard warranty package. It is six grand above what I ordered. I checked to see what it would raise the payment, figuring my BW would not go along with that. To my complete and happy surprise, she said buy it. So, in a day or two, whenever the truck gets here, I'll go pick my car. I can't describe the feeling, since I've been waiting and studying for over a month now. And, no telling when my prefered package would be here. I'm on cloud nine.

Sounds like they're throwing on the extended warranty to make it seem like you HAVE to take that if you take the car ... be careful!

sounds like they added a lot of port installed accessories to raise the price. also, seems like they added the extended warranty and making you buy it. can you return it after you bought the extended warranty?

Trash their extended warranty, become a member and buy it from Priuschat. They are definitely overcharging for the warranty by at least double.

Take it! I still consider NC "home"...I'm an App State man myself, but Seaside is NOT "Carolina blue". I have it myself and love it. My 1st choice was the Spectra then Barcelona and I'm glad I ended up with seaside...it's a beautiful color. What are you, State people? That would explain the poor decision on passing on the car! :D
