I've had my Gen III prius for about two months now, and I am just as excited about it today as I was when I drove it off the lot. That said, there are a few things I don't much care for.

If I could change only one thing about my 2010 Prius, it would have to be the visibility in the rear view mirror. Can't Toyota find a way to get rid of that split window?

How about you? If you could change just one thing, what would it be?

:) One step at a time. Current screen displays only 256 colors, the same number of colors as the Lexus 4th gen NAV used in 2006 and earlier model years.

In 5 years, I'll probably complain that the 2015 Prius has only 32,000 colors when it should have 16.7 million (and change my screen name accordingly).

I'd move the EV, ECO, and PWR buttons closer to the driver.

More storage space (front/rear door pockets, driver's side coin compartment, separate MP3 player holder like the Venza etc)

I agree. I miss the storage areas I had on the 2004 Prius, including: map pockets on the doors, storage area below the CD player (where I kept my MP3 player [I added an AUX input jack and power plug in that compartment]), storage drawer below console, wider console [my digital camera no longer fits well in the console - I have to remove the cup holder to get it in], larger sunglass holder on roof, triangular storage space in back totally isolated from the middle storage space, and storage area for tonneau cover not encroaching on the other storage spaces under the floor in the back.

I also suspect that moving the vent for the battery from the top of the rear seat to the bottom will cause problems when I load up the car with my boxes of trains and accessories to drive to a train show.

The side underfloor compartment and tonneau cover holder are still present in the Gen 3. Both versions encroached on the useable space.

On the XM radio when the display is showing song title and artist, the black slot only fills up about halfway with text, and then stops......why can't more of the song or artist show up when the black slot goes so much farther????

Definitely the holder for the sunglasses. It's designed for the tiniest of sunglasses. I've never owned a pair that fit so it's wasted space.

Lifetime MPG statistic that cannot be reset.

    Better iPod interface.

Make all the options available, regardless of the package.

    HUD.

Make the rear view camera available at any time.

Figure out a way to let the solar panel also charge the battery...at least while parked.

Get rid of the DVD-based navigation system.

    Let the rear seats recline.

    A rear air vent.

Fewer prompts when entering destinations into nav system. (the thing is pretty accurate. i think there could be a way to make it all happen with less prompts.)

Display more characters for music info (artist/song/album/year/artwork??)

I know some of these were already said, and it's not just one thing,
but these are what immediately came to me. It's all stuff I can easily
do without, but definitely stuff I think that could and should have been offered.

A lockable glove compartment, HUD and a remote hatch release button inside the passenger cabin - maybe in the lockable gc or next to the fuel door lever.
