Armor All sells these cleaning wipes that don't leave behind a shine like the rest of their products does.
would these be good for wiping down the dash of my Prius?
Or what do all of you use?
    thanks!

Dampened flannel cloth works for me. A good source for flannel is packs of cloth diapers, from Sears or wherever. Pretty cheap, last a long time. Good for buffing off polish too. Soak them in ammonia solution afterwards strips the wax residue out, then wash/dry and they are as new.

Armor All has a spray called "Natural Finish" that works good. It is not greasy or shiny.

Water and a microfiber cloth works pretty good too.

Try a magic cloth slightly damp. The larger one that you use for cleaning TV screens ,windows. It does not scratch. It works good for cleaning the outside as well. Does not scratch surfaces. H

To clean/dust I just use a damp microfiber cloth. Then finish with 303 Aerospace Protectant, usually sprayed onto the cloth and wiped in. Following soon after with a dry microfiber to pick up / spread out excess.

Leaves it nice and silky, not shiny, and protected.

Here's how I handle dash maintenance. I keep a swiffer sweeper cloth in my glove box, and in drive-thru's or when I'm stopped and notice dust? I simply pull it out and it easily picks up and removes the lint, dust or whatever.....

From time to time, I clean using a detailer spray. Meguiars...

Carrying the loose Swiffer Sweeper pad around keeps my dash from ever getting very bad then the occasional wipe down with detailer is simple...It really is easy, and people think I'm much more anal about keeping my dash clean than I really am...

+1 on that my fellow Oregonian. I have a mini "California Duster" for the same purpose. And that Meg's interior quick detailer spray is great stuff, smells nice too. Only 2nd to 303 in my book because of the protection 303 offers.

I never use Armor All but even the really good interior detailers are not needed. I have had success with a damp towel or lint free rag. The dash dries perfectly.

    Why?

The Mini California duster works great for picking up dust, for the times it needs to be wiped down Meguiars makes a good product called Interior Quick Detailer that works well and leaves behind no shine...

For what its worth, there is nothing "wrong" with Armor All. There are much better products, but Armor All is perfectly safe for all automotive applications. Theres a myth out there that using it will cause dashboards to crack and dry out, but thats not true. Armor All is a water based formula that is perfectly safe.

303 Aerospace is a good product, but too shiny for a dash IMHO.

Awww, but Armor All is really meant for use on motorcycle seats - especially the high-gloss stuff... ;)

All joking aside, I'd use a damp cloth for the dust and glass wipes for the interior glass.

I also keep a Swiffer duster handy in the driver's door map pocket. Windex and paper towels on the glass areas followed by the Swiffer duster to grab the lint fallout.

Maybe a distinction should be made between dusting and cleaning off the more stubborn stuff. I'd be especially interested to know what you folks would recommend for cleaning gunk off the steering wheel.

I've been using California dusters on my cars for ~20 years, and never had a need for anything else on the dash. I suppose if you have kids who drop ice cream on the dash you might need something more.

What type of gunk do you have on your steering wheel? If it's leather, Lexol is the way to go.

+1 for the California mini dash duster (for dust, not grime)

Probably just buildup from skin oils and whatnot from that last 9 years of driving our 2002's (yeah, I should have given them attention sooner) and they're the stock steering wheel that that the cars came with (I guess that would be vinyl?).
