Toyota says 24.1 hours for engine swap and 8.1 hours for transaxle, does that sound about right?

Well, I did my 2004 prius on mon and tues day and I did it (engine swap) in about 12 hours. I used air tools, cherry picker, floor jack and jack stands in my garage. the toughest was getting the steering column hooked back up to the rack and pinion. then my battery was low and I got a no start with a "transmission lock mechanism is abnormal" code. so took it to the dealer to have them chase that code. still cheaper than them doing the swap.

8.5 Hours is mentioned in the times guide for engine/transaxle replacement and we done quite a few and they take around that time. Allow 12 hours for the first time but certainly not 24.5.
