I always thought you would get hit big time on mpg running 18" wheels. But they sure look good! (y)

The diameter of the wheel doesn't effect MPG, but the weight does. The total diameter of the wheel and tire combo is what changes the drive ratio and MPG. At 18" the tire will need to be a 40 or 45, so choices will be pretty limited. Probably looking at a sport tire, forget LRR tires.

the Michelin Premier A/S has a high mileage rating and a couple 18" sizes. the Pilot MXM4 has a couple that might be close. Most of the 18s I see are too tall or too wide. Any gains you might find in rolling resistance will be lost if its taller than the OE tire.

Thanks for the reply, I will be going with a 215/40/18 Continental DWS seems it's the choice for Prius drivers upgrading to 18" wheels. MPG is really not a factor since most of my driving is on EV (8 miles to work) hopefully with my full charge of 12.5 with the upgrade wheels the 8 miles on EV will still make it to work.

I went with the 215/40/18 Continental DWS and I couldn't be happier. Great tire. (y)
