What's your least favorite color on the Gen III? Be honest and don't get offended if someone picks your color. I know my opinion of black won't change based on what others think.

If you had said "least practical" I would have chosen black, very pretty when clean but not suitable for a dusty place like this. My car will be silver which, apparently, is non-offensive at least, also doesn't show dirt to bad.

    I chose not to vote.

Unlike the Gen II colors where there were at least two colors that did not look good on their own and/or on the Prius, I think all the Gen III colors look good both on their own and on the Prius.

Personally, I said Blizzard Pearl. I think white cars look like refrigerators on wheels anyway, and here in California a lot of agencies use Prius, so it also looks like a "company car" in white.

Of course, if you love your Blizzard Pearl, more power to you. That's the wonderful thing about choice and diversity.

I think pretty much 100% of us (including me) will vote for black as the least practical color anyway.

I had to vote black. My weekend toy is black and it gets dirtier averaging 100 miles a month than my prius does averaging 1200 miles in the same time period. I tell myself I'll never buy a black car again, but it just looks so damn good after a good wax.

I've not been fortunate to see a Black or Red Prius in person, and I only saw a Silver one from a very great distance and the way the sun hit it didn't move me in a good way (although it looks great on the Toyota site). So I can only base this poll on the remaining 4 colors . . . . gotta pick Blue. The funny thing is I normally like Blue cars.

Absolutely. This is actually my third mustang as well. I had a '95 and a '99 before this one:

The dark gray...it's a noncolor. To me, it's depressing, joyless, blah. It's not shiny & pretty (like the silver and gold), it's not an actual color (like the red and blue), and it's not "clean" or classic (like the white and black). Gray is just gray. Blech.

But please feel free ask me what I really think about gray. LOL

What's up with all the hate for black? If you picked black is it because you think its ugly or just because its a maintenance nightmare?

I voted black. And mine is black. I would have chosen any other color, but this is the only one I could get before the sales tax exemption went away.

Oh, I'm sure some picked it because it's high maintenance. Black and Sandy Beach being the least popular choices actually mirrors other informal polls such as what 2010 Prius we have and #1 exterior color choice.

    Hater !! ;)

I really like the gray. I think it is very classy.
I love how it can vary from gray to black to almost blue and almost a slight purple...depending on the light/shade.

Since this thread is about least favorite color for the Gen III Prius...
I'd have to say that mine is Sandy Beach Metallic.
Not that I really have anything against it... it's just probably my least favorite.

I think the blues and reds are beautiful blues and reds, but just too colorful for my taste in a car... unless I was driving a sports car.

I've got to say that I made my choice based on G2's I have seen since I have only seen the white and grey in person. I would have chosen either the white or the grey if I had not seen those two colors in person, but once I did my choices changed and I liked both, even bought the winter grey I liked it so much. I almost chose red because the combination of a red car and the red tail lights has always bothered me in the past on any car - just too much of one color, and sometimes a poor match at that. In the end, I chose black as my least favorite, and not because of the difficulty keeping it clean. Black has long been one of my favorite colors for a car until I saw a few G2s in black. I do not think the Prius looks good in black while most every other car seems to look great. Do I sound like a split personality on my color choises?

I'd make the same comment regarding the monotone Dark Gray interior, but hey that's me.

You're not alone. I wasn't impressed with G2s in black either, but that seems to have changed with the Gen III. Two advantages of black: 1) it hides the split hatchback glass, which I think looks disconcerting in other colors and 2) it hides the black side view mirror stalks (they should've at least made them color-coded). My favorite color is actually Blizzard Pearl, but I didn't want another white car. My third choice would be silver.

So, no love for SBM? That's okay, it was my third choice after Winter Gray and Blue Ribbon, but it was the one that showed up first, so I grabbed it. It really is a beautiful color.

    /my two cents
