I recently purchased a Prius Pkg III and so it did not come with the garage universal remote and the visor is too thick for my current remotes to fit on. Does anyone know where I can purchase the Prius Garage Universal Remote or something similar? Have the remotes in the cup holder but they tend to rattle which irritates me while I'm driving.
    Thanks!

You have a few options... On Ebay, they have mirrors with them (retrofit) - search homelink, mirror. There are also random homelink ones that come from other cars (search Homelink) - some of these can be fitted after-market. I bought one that originally fit in a visor (gray to match) - and am just looking for a spot to put it... Use your imagination... If you get the mirror one, make sure it has a cable.

Of course these options imply you don't mind playing with your Prius wires etc...

I hacked a remote I bought to run off of 12V, then installed it in the dash.

I keep my remote in the top glove compartment. To keep it from sliding and making noise I put two strips of eGrips that I had left over from my treo.

It's integrated into the mirror so you can buy an auto-dimming mirror w/ Homelink online (Gentex makes the mirror). They have many other models so you can even get one with a compass if you wish.

This came up as an option for ROW Phaeton owners who didn't receive Homelink fitted as standard kit.

If I had to do it again, I've buy a used visor mount and try to mount it on the visor.

I've heard a few of my Brit car fans used the Flash2Pass system, too.

Just FYI - I was going to put it in the visor - but you cannot - the visor has that mirror/sliding door - so there is no room...
