Sorry if this has been discussed (searched but did not find).

How come the 2010 3G Prius doesn't come in green? Shouldn't that be a signature color for a hybrid?

We have a green 2007. We like it. It's about the only thing keeping me from upgrading.

I think green was a marketing ploy by toyota on earlier generations to let people make a statement. Now that the Prius is mainstream, they don't need to sell that (ugly :)) color anymore.

We tested an NHW11 in 2001 but between the price (it had navigation,) lack of cruise control and green color, it was a no-go. Instead, we bought a 2001 Echo, which was sold this spring to help pay for the ZVW30.

Dark green is my favorite color on any car. Google "Dark Highland Green". It's a Ford color, but I'd buy it on any vehicle. Unfortunately, my preference is the minority, so you don't see many dark green cars being produced anymore.
