I'm sure many G2 owners have a pretty distinct list of things they wish would be fixed/enhanced/eliminated in the G3. For those who have seen and/or test driven the 2010 model, how many of your complaints have been addressed (or not)?

My only real complaint was the driver's seat comfort--Fixed

    And the telescoping steering column.
And the "open" space where the EV button should have been is now filled (well, moved and filled).

I didn't really have any big complaints with the Gen II. Many of the new features are minor improvements for me. For example, the telescoping steering wheel is nice. I don't have a problem with my 2006, but it would be nice to pull out the wheel a few inches.

Traction control has been a problem for many. We don't yet know if it is improved.

And the EGR is supposed to give much improved MPG performance in cold weather.
And the changed gearing and larger ICE should give better highway MPGs.

Not if it's a feature you didn't attempt to test ;-) What's killing ME is the fact I didn't do "just one more test drive" to test those things I should have been thinking about the first, second, or third time around ;-)

Since Thermo bottle is being replaced by the EHR, there won't be noise for the pump. I hope they reduce/eliminate the noise that the brake hydraulic pump as well.

I don't think I agree with that statement. Traction control has been an issue for some but not "many". It isn't a "problem" either as nothing is broken or dangerous.

With that said, an improvement would be a welcome feature.

I think I would miss the current placement of the MFD , did like the new seats, the more efficient power system should prove to be a plus. Not real sure of the dash coming out and sloping down and into the Center Console. While I did have the opportunity inside the event to close the doors of the Blue one on display and DID really ENJOY the new JBL system, I did feel a bit confined. The new ergonomics of the Dash Display are interesting, I would have to put a few miles on one to define what is most important for me to see in conjunction with the NAV MFD. I would describe the overall look of the new body as a little less rounded, My wife just loved the Blue! I took a front and back photo of my B.R.B. parked next to a 2010. There is a link in the L.A.Prius WOW thread. Both front and back are more square!! I actually like both. Just a few of my thoughts

Anyone think the Gen3's shifter knob might be more prone to getting bumped?

Not a majority, but certainly many. It's enough of a vocal minority that I have devoted hours and hours on PC explaining the ins and outs of traction control. I am considered the chief traction control apologist by some members of the anti-traction control group.

I'm having trouble figuring out if that is establishment-speak, disestablishmentarian sentiment or antidisestablishmentarianism.
