Who Did I Spot Driving the Black 2010 in Rockville?

I spotted my first "live" one tonight. I was driving back from the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station in my silver 2006. On one side of me was a silver pine mica. In front, but 2 cars ahead, was a black Prius. I had been considering black so I was trying to get a better look. I managed to get behind the black Prius and realized that 1) it was a brand new car, 2) it had a blue emblem, and 3) it had a shorter antenna. Still not being too sure, I tried to get into a position where I could see it from the side but I was on a single lane road. I followed it past my usual turnoff all the way down Twinbrook Parkway. When we got to the end, the black Prius got into the right turn lane, so I got into the left. Unfortunately, it turned fairly quickly as I tried to look at the side but, as someone had said, black doesn't show the off the shape that well, and I couldn't really see the crease. But I'm pretty certain after looking at more pictures of the 2010 from the rear, it was a 2010.

355 Toyota said they wouldn't be getting any cars in until the 20th.

i got a call on sunday from DarCars silver spring and they told me they had a 2010 black prius II in stock. i politely declined since i'm on the waitlist for a silver one, but maybe that was the car?

I too love the black but its too hard to keep clean. The pollen in NJ would make the car look yellow.

It did say Darcars on the temporary license so I thought it might have been 355 Toyota but it probably was Silver Spring if they had called you about it. I had visited 355 Toyota the evening before and I thought they said they were getting a black one, which had been ordered, but I don't remember.

True, I wasn't a very subtle stalker. On the other hand, I'm sure the driver was so thrilled about driving his/her new Prius that they probably didn't notice me!

I saw a silver gen3 heading west on i70 between Terre Haute and Marshall 06/12/09!
