who is replacing mfd's these days?

    i have a 2007 prius that's suffered one of the MFD solder crack failures, i had my radio cut in and out for a while then lost contact with AC, intermittent and became gradually basically permanent. is anyone replacing or repairing these MFD's? i have a 2007 w/nav. and would like to avoid the hefty cost at the dealer

    I contacted them, unfortunately was told that they only stock 04 and 05 MFD's, none that would work in my 07. have also PM's the MFD guru (hobbit) and am keeping my fingers crossed for a response

    I have an MFD from an '08. It came off a non-NAV, non-JBL 9 speaker stereo car. You'll need to pull it to get the part number. Mine is 86110-47230

    One problem that you have is that there were, I think, three different kinds of MFDs used in later years: base, NAV, and JBL 9 speaker w/o NAV.

    Seilerts, I have a car with nav so yours wouldn't work unfortunately.

    Mike MC, I'd like to avoid car-parts for the moment as there's no guarantee they'll work on arrival as far as i can see...
