Anyone know if this rim size will fit? I found a rim that I like but it only comes in this size. Still debating on 17s or 18s but I'm worried about the 9 inch wide part and the offset. I plan on lowering the car 1" or 2".

no way that wheels gonna fit with that low offset. oem is 45mm, I think. I got 16x7" wheels with 40mm offset and they're just barely gonna fit (if I did my math right) at stock height. i'll know for sure this week when I can install them.

installed motegi wheels after work today. didn't hear any rubbing, but I didn't hit any major bumps either. 215/55r16 tires are about 1" taller than the 15" tires. fills the wheel opening nicely. it seems that 40mm is the least back spacing that will fit; I would think 50mm would be optimum with 225 tires. any wider than that ain't gonna fit easily, if at all. I would go with 17" over 18" because good tires will cost a lot less, a little bit more sidewall will keep it from riding like a conestoga wagon, and you should try to keep the weight down for mpg and acceleration. besides, go too tall with the tires and its got to rub somewhere and your speedo will be way off.

My 19x7 45ET with 215/35R19 fit just fine. You have to consider if you are lowered or not, if you plan on rolling your fenders...ect. You can MAKE them fit but not without modification to the body if you are lowered. I can tell you from experience that a 225/40R19 WILL rub even with 19x7 45ET with fenders rolled in the front - no issues in the back. I'm looking at a 19x8 35ET now...

It all depends on tire dimensions and the ET.

I mean you can run a 20" wheel if thats what floats your boat...all depends on how much you want to modify the body of the car.
