Will iPod integration be 'iPhone-smart'?

    Maybe it's too early to ask this, but will the iPod integration be iPhone-smart?

    That is to say, since (I believe) the phone functions are available through the iPhone's digital connector, will the integration be smart enough to pick up on this, so that pairing the iPhone with the Bluetooth connectivity of the Prius for making phone calls would not be necessary ?
