I don't want a new body or lip kit, but I do like the new 2012 front bumper refresh. For sanity's sake, anyone know for sure if the new bumper will fit on the older 2010-2011s?
Nobody has tried that retrofitting yet. It should fit in theory, unless there are some cost-prohibitive underlying structural changes to make this retrofitting possible.

I have been wondering this myself. I figure it will fit and as soon as they are available from a third party, or an OEM one cheap, I intend to upgrade mine.
OEM should not be too pricey, especially since it will come with OEM quality. I nominate Spiderman to try it out first.
Great... They have the 10-11s on ebay now (some painted and non-painted) for like $150. I asked the seller when he would get the 12s but he didn't have a time-frame.
Are you getting the Five skin with the fogs? I probably can't do mine even if I wanted to as the 2012 bumper skins lack the holes for the Intelligent Parking Assist sensors.
I don't see why they shouldn't fit. All that was changed was the style......everything else looks the same.
Good question... I didn't even know only the Five(12) had the fogs... but that is what I would want to get. Of course I would also have the get the DRL and turn signal units as well. Won't be cheap I am sure but hey my current bumper skin has got road rash so bad it starting to look black.
why do you want the 2012 five bumper? I have the 2012 five bumper and I don't like it. I wanted to add the sport trim (which in my understanding consists of some side skirts, and some additional pieces of plastic that screw onto the stock front/rear bumpers) but I can't with the five front bumper. the guys over at ezlip.com sent me a free lip but it doesn't fit the five bumper due to the curves, it simply won't work correctly. the 2011 bumper allows for the add on sports stuff.

Some people prefer the more aggressive/sporty look of the 2012 bumper. Advertise in Private Sales to do a local swap with a fellow 2010/11 Five owner. Both of you end up happy.
Yes even the front bumper Plus Performance ground effect is different, but idk if it's because of the curves, I think it's more so that the line of the effect cuts off to meet the line of the lower grille.

You and Spidey can do a quid pro quo. He orders a new painted 10/11 Five bumper (with openings for headlight washers) and send that to you. Once retrofitted, you send your 2012 skin to him
Whoa, we still don't know if the 12 fits the 10-11. I wonder if we can get a Toyota engineer to give us the answer.
