I just downloaded the service report on my new (to me) 2007 Prius.

All of the recent oil change appointments read:
"OIL FILTER, 21 POINT INSPECTION, RESET MAINTENANCE, CUSTOMER WIRELESS PASSWORD IS XXXXXXXXXX, COURTESY MULTI POINT INSPECTION, BODY ELECTRICAL, SSC, SSC"

Anyone know what this wireless password that they refer to is and what it's used for? The older oil change records (at a different dealership) don't mention the wireless password, so maybe this is something specific to the dealer (maybe the dealer gave a wireless pager to the customer to let them know when the oil change was done?)

My guess it is for using the dealership's WiFi while sitting in the Service Dept. waiting room. My dealership has complimentary WiFi for its customers.

Interesting how they bury this in the service report. I would also guess this is for the Service Advisor to give to the customers while checking them in.

    Ah. That makes sense.
