I think toggling on XM is missing. That is, one button jump between two channels back and forth. This was great for sports as you could miss all the commercials. Now it is impossible unless you set a channel for each game. I'm wondering why they don't have "last channel jump button". To me this is more frustrating than only 16 positions of text on the XM display.

Does anyone else miss that feature (available on most standalone XM radios)? If so, can we get it added to the GenIII problems?

    Thanks,

    Rich N.

One thing you can do is select type and when it is on sports hit scan. It's not what you are used to, but it is something.

My only beef with the NAV unit is the lack of features for XM.

Pressing the SAT button will toggle between the first station on each of the three satellite preset pages (it may be the last station played on each page...I don't remember). Not exactly what you're looking for but it will work in a pinch.

Interesting ideas, I can also preset a bunch of baseball stations and toggle that way as well, or change the presets when I have 2 games I wish to toggle. But that one button to go 'back' to previous channel would have been great. Oh, well....

I think it would have been better for them to put the TUNE button closer to the driver to make it easier to change channels up and down. Why have the volume over there when I can control it from the steering wheel. Would that be something that can easily be modified to switch the TUNE and VOLUME knobs?
