Lawn mower battery is 310 cc amps! And like they say/it's prius battery DOESNT HAVE A VENT!/AND body vent is beside the battery.
thx, RJ for the brake info just posted. A few months back, I think you might have given me a chart for the new pistons/rings part number in the 2014/2015 series. I used this to purchase my recent 2014, so many thx on that one too!
Hi RJ. Quick question. You mentioned changing HG as a gamble. Would you consider gamble lowered if head was milled, valves cleaned and lapped, upper oil pan removed and walls honed, rods checked for true, bearing tolerance checked, new rings, and EGR system cleaned? I ask as I’ve just done three this week. Wondering of my risk.

Hi Lydia. What did you choose to do repairing your HG in 2021? What type of warranty was given? I noticed you mentioned it was still under warranty. How many miles were on the car? Many thanks! I’m opening a gasket repair facility in the DFW metroplex. I’m collecting data.
Mr Mendel, What voltage should my 12v be in? I was checking for codes with OBD the other day and my app said my 12v had 11.8v while it was on the on position checking for codes (pressed on twice) not running/started. Let me know if that's too low.
Hi Sponge, I have codes quite similar to what you experienced in 2021 (https://priuschat.com/threads/is-this-the-brake-actuator-a-low-12v-battery-or.222681/#post-3115903). Did you find the cause and a solution in the end? for my problem & codes see https://priuschat.com/threads/red-triangle-of-death-wont-disappear-after-new-12v-battery.243353/#post-3401737 Thanks, Ben
You're the PriusChat poster with the greatest technical training. Things you've written have been quite helpful to me in recently years on Gen IIs and Gen III's. Do you know of any a coherent discussion of trickle charging a Prius traction battery using a 300mA/250VDC power supply in the form of a Meanwell LED driver module? Can it be done without removing the traction battery from the vehicle?
I doubt I've the most technical background; the list is surely longer, but check out Elektroingenieur, fuzzy1, mr_guy_mann, Mr. F, and several others. We don't really know who anybody is or where they work, but those accounts often make well-informed posts. As for a 300 mA LED power supply, I think if you search the forums you probably will find threads discussing that or very similar approaches.
