Wondering if it would help to take the ring off from around the coolant cap, so it doesn't seal? I've read where they say it takes the pressure off the coolant system and gives you more time to avoid damage. You think that's worthwhile?
Ah that's unfortunate You are in the Northeast That's where I hail from many years ago before I move south without a garage in the furthest part of the Northeast like upstate New York and places these cars are 3 to 5-year cars if you have a garage and the car doesn't sit out a lot and you're able to take care of it you could last 10 to 15 years in those same condition
I think you can get a new screen from German Audio Tech for $299. Then just replace the whole sunburst screen and be done with it.
Nothing, to do with my new used battery controller moduel? Other new issue new 12V and new 3V fob battery my fob does ZERO now.
Hello Matt, I just now read your post about replacing your ABS actuator possibly using the thinkdiag tool on your Prius V. I too have a Prius V and am contemplating replacing it myself. Can you share your experience on this? And on the thinkdiag? Thanks, Frank in Houston
Obviously, for some reason that I can not fathom, Toyota has chosen to not export very many of the 5th generation Prius to the United States. I have driven my '23 Prius for 16 months in several states from Texas to Nevada & Colorado. i have seen a total of 2 of the latest generation Prius. Does anyone know why Toyota has chosen this withholding of such a wonderful car from the US market?
Hey I saw a post that you commented on the difference between the 2 battery sizes of the Gen 2 Prius. The bigger battery, the S46B24R, was for the smart option and the other smaller battery, the S34B20R, was for the regular Prius. I by accident bought the bigger battery, the S46B24R, and installed it in the regular Prius.
It doesn't fit perfectly and may be a little bit loose but I was still able to connect it and it seems to be working because I've driven the car around. Is this a problem what I did and will it cause any issues to the car?
I recommend that you purchase the 12V battery bracket intended for the Smart-equipped Prius so that the battery doesn't wobble around. If you can secure the battery mechanically, you will be good to go.
