I own a 2010- and saw this earlier model recently with a modification that should be avoided at all costs...

Jeesh, you'd think they would at least align it with the length of the car for aerodynamic reasons!

That mod won't work on the 2010...

Why not? This modification is not only cost effective but if it is color coordinated and IF the winder is positioned properly there is likely no loss in mileage.

So if you don’t like this modification go ahead and complain....then just wait until you’re out of gas and the battery is dead. One good wind up could get you home safely, or at least with no more than a broken wrist.

The inventor should be commended for thinking outside the "(music) box".

I've heard that squirrels are actually a more efficient modification!

You have to stop and pull over to catch them and thus lower your efficiency. I plan on installing a bird catcher injection hat. That way I can obtain critter power on the fly! You gotta think in terms of efficiency mate. I might one day upgrade to a buzzard catcher scoop!
